A Celebration of Nature, Since The 2010 Harvest

Lallier Réflexion R was born with R.010 - as a Réflexion around the 2010 harvest- and released globally in 2014. Champagne Lallier is one of the very first, and very few, who broke free from the foundational principle of Champagne Brut Non-Vintage category by favouring the expression of the base year, over the regularity of the tasting profile. A pure quest for excellence and sincerity towards what nature brings each year.

Terroir Individuality, Captured

At Lallier, there is a genuine fascination for extraordinary variety of terroir expressions, evolving year on year according to climate conditions on each single plot from Montagne de Reims to Côte des Blancs. Réflexion R is a fascinating blend of some 50 crus which aims to capture their infinite richness. Réflexion R reveals the purest nature of Champagne terroir individuality, while, at the same time, delivering Lallier's distinctive signature style.

Entering Lallier’s Sensorial Journey

Réflexion R is the emblem of the house's signature style. Purity & Freshness are the foundations. They are both glorious gifts from the Champagne limestone terroir and from Chardonnay grape variety. Then comes Lallier's distinctive touch: Intensity and Depth, carefully cultivated by the cellar master and his team through vinification in wooden barrels, long aging on lees and bespoke yeasts.

It is a Réflexion of the Cellar Master on a specific harvest, which is incorporated for the vast majority in the final blend (60% minimum). Indeed, each year instils its own character in the crop it grows; a personality Lallier Cellar Master believes in expressing to be true to the nature.

Lallier’s Winemaking Philosophy Epitome
Réflexion R embodies Lallier's creative winemaking philosophy, driven by nature, authenticity and curiosity. At Lallier, the Cellar Master does not blend for linear consistency, but to celebrate the individuality of a terroir and a harvest - as expressed in the Base Wine but also in the wonderful Reserve Wines that we're preciously accumulating over time. Thus, each year, new subtle notes revealing the harvest personality are completing the signature backbone.

Uncompromising
At Lallier, there is no compromise with quality. If a harvest does not meet with the house's quality standards to get its own expression, the production is skipped that year until the following one, when the wine is worth leading its own iteration of Réflexion R. Thus, R.017 was too shy to stand among its Réflexion R counterparts and has not been released. A strong commitment toward consistent quality and respect for Lallier lovers.

The Right Glass
The right glass is essential for the development of the bouquet and the effervescence. It sits between the flute and the wine glass: long leg, wide bowl and narrow opening.

The Right Temperature
To fully unveil the aromas of Lallier Réflexion R, serving temperature should sit between 10°C and 12°C. If too cold, the aromas won't express at their most.

The Right Food Pairing
Lallier Réflexion R fully expresses its personality when enjoyed on its own. Still, you can also enjoy it paired with raw vegetables, fresh goat cheese, shellfish or raw fish; always favouring the natural excellence of fresh, local and seasonal sourcing.
