The Glen Grant 25-Year-Old starts its journey in the perfect location for whisky making in the village of Rothes, in the heart of the Speyside region.


With an abundance of quality two-row Scottish barley, the distillery was built on the banks of the Back Burn a tributary of the River Spey.


This water source is brimming with cool, mineral-rich, fresh water fed by hundreds of natural springs.

Authenticity in Process
The Glen Grant’s innovative taller-necked copper stills combined with water-cooling purifiers collect only the very finest vapours; creating the distillery’s signature lighter and delicate new make spirit. This distinct new make spirit is delicately aromatic with a vibrancy akin to zesty green apples which ultimately defines the fruity character at the heart of every whisky by The Glen Grant.

Prestine Maturation
The exceptional character of The Glen Grant spirit also holds its integrity in oak for a very long time so throughout maturation, the spirit preserves its defining character and aromas even at very high ages. The Glen Grant 25-Year-Old is matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks.


We prioritize maturing The Glen Grant in the unchanging coolness of our traditional, dunnage warehouses. Casks are racked just three high – the perfect setting to create the fresh, open character of our whisky.
