There will only ever be 360 hand-blown decanters, each individually numbered and containing a once-in-a-lifetime Aged 60 Years single malt Scotch whisky. This masterpiece will be renowned as the oldest official distillery bottling to date from The Glen Grant Distillery. Deservedly so, each decanter features a stunning presentation of timeless craftsmanship and exquisite artistry.

In 2021 our Master Distiller, Dennis Malcolm OBE, celebrates an incredible 60 years of whisky making. Believed to one of the longest serving Master Distillers in Scotland, he is also one of the most knowledgeable whisky makers in the world.

Every day of his six decade career has been dedicated to the fastidious care, creation and consistency of craftsmanship that combine to make our award-winning The Glen Grant single malt Scotch whiskies revered on the world stage by connoisseurs, collectors and leading whisky writers.

Born and bred in Rothes, Scotland, at the tender age of just 15 in 1961, Dennis began his journey into whisky making as an apprentice cooper, following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather before him.
In 2016 Dennis was awarded an OBE in Her Majesty The Queen’s Birthday Honours List, for his services to Scotch whisky industry and service to the local community of his home town of Rothes, Speyside.

THE CASK

This unique cask was coopered in Jerez in the south of Spain where it matured Oloroso sherry, a fortified wine. Oloroso sherry has a distinctive dark colour and a sweet nutty, dried fruit flavour which imparts wonderfully flavoured intensity to the whisky.

The Maturation
For almost 22,000 days and nights, this carefully distilled spirit matured in the perfect conditions of traditional stone dunnage warehouses.

The Decanting
Once Dennis selected the cask, the liquid was bottled at cask strength and was non-chill filtered to retain the optimal flavour and aroma.

THE DECANTER

A liquid as rare and unique as this needs a decanter that’s equally as special. Each bespoke decanter features exquisite craftsmanship that comes only with time and patience. Made with handblown crystal and featuring a hand-engraved signature, our decanters are the perfect metaphor for honouring the dedication behind every prestigious drop.

The elegant slender neck is encased in finely detailed satin metal.

The Stopper
An exquisitely shaped solid crystal stopper inspired by the swan necks of our stills.
