MYTH

Only When The Year Is Great

Lallier Millésime 2014 comes 100% out of 2014 grapes, sourced from the greatest terroirs. It is made up exclusively of most well-balanced wines from the very same harvest that have benefited from exceptional ripening conditions. Exceptional vintages are exclusively chosen by the Cellar Master and exhibit the finest qualities within the expression.

Quality First

2014 was a notably hot year compared to the average, especially in Spring and during the ripening period. After a capricious summer, the harvest took place in ideal climatic conditions - sunny and warm days, cool and dry nights - allowing the picking teams to harvest the healthiest grapes. Besides, thanks to good quantities of grapes in the vines, the team could conduct a qualitative sorting to bring only the best grapes to the presses.

Terroir Individuality, Captured

Lallier Millésimé offers a unique experience of Champagne terroir individuality, captured differently from year to year Lallier combines in its Millésimé a total of eight magnificent Grands Crus (Verzenay, Aÿ, Bouzy et Ambonnay, Avize, Cramant, Chouilly & Oger) coming from 2 main regions - Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims - the best grapes from the best areas to make the best possible expression.

MASTERY

Characteristics

A Demanding Blend
While Millésime is made to exacting and high standards, Lallier goes one step further - sourcing exclusively from 8 Grands Crus vineyards, longer aging on lees (6 rather than industry standard of 4), homemade yeasts - all resulting in a remarkable vintage champagne.

The Purest Expression of 2014 Vintage
2014 capricious yet delicate year is fully expressed in this powerful, structured and dense taste profile. Thanks to exceptional ripening season and harvest conditions, the 2014 vintage shows great length through its depth and aromatic persistence. The Grands Crus that make up the blend leave an impression of salinity and a fine, chalky touch.

Unwavering Standards
Millésime is a testament to the standards set by chief principal, Jean Lallier, "a great wine starts with the greatest grapes - and enhances it with patience, Intuition, and respect of time. Millésimé's premium status is sealed in the high quality of these simple standards.
